We are looking for an experienced epidemiologist to join Ausvet and lead our growing consultant team in Lyon, France.

We are seeking a natural leader, a creative thinker who can inspire both scientific rigour and innovation.
You will be able to support and facilitate the work of our highly skilled consultants and encourage their ongoing professional development. Over time, you will be able to contribute to the development of our business strategy, assist in leading our future direction and become an ambassador of the company. You will already have good European and/or global networks and have a strong professional profile. You have a demonstrated ability to build new projects and secure funding. You may have strong industry ties and can build concrete pathways which allow Ausvet to support the private sector more directly. Working for Ausvet, you will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to contribute significantly to opening new opportunities and expanding our client base.

  Project Consultant (Epidemiology/International Development)

• CDD Full time (Fixed term contract) 4-5 years

We are looking for an organised, experienced project officer/consultant to take on a key role in the implementation of a large and complex health-related project across multiple countries. The project leadership team will be based in Lyon, France and you will need to work flexibly and creatively with this team across several time zones. You will already have a background in International Development and a strong understanding of health/disease/epidemiology/value-chains in food production.

We are seeking someone with initiative who can work well independently but who will readily accept direction and support from the project leads. You will need to have an agile mind and love a challenge. You are used to juggling a wide variety of tasks efficiently, determining priorities and holding to deadlines and other obligations. You will be pragmatic, a clear thinker and have loads of common sense. Working with collaborators from different countries and backgrounds will come easily and naturally to you because you are a great communicator in both written and spoken English. You will be able to inspire and draw the best out of teams as well as guide, shepherd and coordinate activities with sensitivity, good humour and intelligence. You will be the operational linchpin for the project – the person everyone goes to first – so you will have to keep up with different an excellent capacity to share the right information to the right people at the right time.

  Frontend developer
We are currently seeking a creative and enthusiastic frontend developer to join our growing team. If you understand what makes a great user experience, and have the hunger and drive to deliver secure, robust and innovative web apps, then we want to hear from you!

You will use your technical expertise to build, develop and maintain web-based interfaces for client information systems. This includes contributing to the development of a broader information system solution, and the design and coding of best in class solutions using the appropriate web technologies, including but not limited to HTML5, CSS and Javascript.

Our projects are delivered under tight timelines, using AGILE approaches.
