Ash JordanBSc BVMS MANZCVS
After returning to Australia, he spent some time diversifying his skill set and worked as a shelter veterinarian in Canberra, where he provided care to neglected animals and injured or sick wildlife. During this time, he decided to pursue his interests in epidemiology and transboundary animal diseases and started a Masters of Veterinary Public Health Management through the University of Sydney.
Ashley then moved back to his home state of Western Australia and worked as a state government field veterinarian in the wheatbelt. He investigated disease outbreaks in major livestock species and provided extension services to farmers. He moved back to Canberra with his wife to work for the federal government where he conducted animal biosecurity risk analyses for biological commodities, such as vaccines. Prior to moving to Ausvet, Ashley completed his membership exams for the epidemiology chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
He enjoys spending time outdoors frolicking, running, cycling, hiking, snowboarding amongst other activities.
