Nguyễn Văn Cường – Coordinator, Data Component (TRANSFORM Vietnam)

Cường is a veterinary researcher with over 10 years of experience in veterinary research and public health. His training background includes a graduate course in Veterinary Medicine (Nong Lam University, Vietnam), an MSc in Biotechnology (University of Paris-Sud XI, France), and a Ph.D. in Biomedicine (Open University, UK). Cường has been involved in numerous multi-disciplinary research projects as a project coordinator on livestock and poultry in Vietnam from 2012 to 2021 at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU). He was awarded a fellowship of NIAID / NIH-CREID Pilot Research Program (https://cried-network.org/) in 2021. Cường joined Ausvet in 2021 as a project coordinator in Vietnam for the TRANSFORM project.
Cường’s interest centers around animal farm health and ranges from the identification of sources and drivers of transboundary and zoonotic infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance in farming systems to the design of control strategies to reduce antimicrobial usage and mitigate the occurrence of antimicrobial resistance in the animal farm reservoir.
Nguyễn Thị Bích Vân – Technical Officer, TRANSFORM Vietnam
Vân obtained her BSc in Biotechnology, Major of Medical Microbiology from International University, Vietnam National University in 2017. She also received a scholarship to pursue her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of London, the United Kingdom in 2019. Her previous work experience centers around AMU mitigation in the poultry production sector in Vietnam including work as a research assistant on the ViParc project (http://viparc.org/) at Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) and as a consultant for ReAct AsiaPacific. In November 2021, she started working for Ausvet, putting in her best effort and creativity for the TRANSFORM project as a technical officer based in Vietnam.
Vân enjoys working in the field of epidemiology and holds a wide range of interests, including infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antimicrobial usage (AMU), and developing practical measures to improve control of zoonotic diseases and AMR.
Nguyễn Hồng Ngọc Thạch – Technical Officer, TRANSFORM Vietnam
Thạch graduated Advanced Veterinary Medicine Program from Nong Lam University in 2017 and interned three months at Center for Antimicrobial Food Safety and Antimicrobial Resistance –Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Since he started working, he has acquired mixed experience in research with the Food animal and Feed production sector. In detail, Thạch has been involved in research trial design, feed production and development, technical practices, and veterinary document translation, but he also has experience in product advertisement, packaging design, and training coordination. He started working for Ausvet as a Vietnam technical officer for the TRANSFORM project in November 2021.
Thạch‘s interests center around animal production practices and performance in Vietnam and its relationship with animal health and has a keen interest in discovering new multi- and trans-disciplinary approaches to achieve optimal animal production performance.
